How we look after your information

Applications contain medical and personal details. This page explains what we collect, who sees it and how long we keep it.

Who we are

The Amondi Foundation is a family charity in Nigeria, funded by the Amondi family in memory of Clementine Amondi. We are responsible for the information you send through this website.

What we collect

  • Your name, phone number, optional email, state and town.
  • Details of the patient or student and the hospital or school.
  • The documents you upload, such as medical reports, bills, invoices and results.
  • The internet address your application came from, to stop abuse.

We never ask for bank PINs, passwords, BVN, NIN or card numbers, and we never pay into personal accounts.

Why we use it

Only to decide on your application and to pay the hospital or school. With your agreement, we contact the hospital or school named in your application to confirm the bill or fees. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing.

Who can see it

Only the members of the Amondi family who review applications. Documents are stored on a private server, not on the public website, and can only be opened after signing in.

How long we keep it

We keep an application and its documents for two years after we close it, so we can answer questions about payments. After that we delete the documents and keep only a short record of what was paid.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] with your reference number.
